Hey there, Moonstruck Fam! Today we’re doing one of our favorite things: reminiscing on some of our past weddings (that we’re still not over!)

This time, we’re talking about a wedding that had it all. Timeless black and white elegance, Chinese dragon dancers, a mariachi band, the couple’s dog in a dress of her own, a live painter, 3 bridal wardrobe changes… you name it. That’s right- today we’re talking about Kirbey and Juan Felipe!

The wedding between Kirbey and Juan Felipe was a truly unforgettable celebration of love and commitment. Held last February (happy almost 1st Anniversary!) at the beautiful Cohen House at Rice University, the intimate venue provided a warm and inviting atmosphere for all to enjoy.

From the get go, it was clear that this was no ordinary wedding. The decor was simply stunning, with a tasteful black and white color palette accented by pops of greenery and tons of hurricane candles. But what really stole the show was the love between Kirbey and Juan Felipe! These two are meant to be together, and it was clear from the way they looked at each other that they’re crazy about each other.

The ceremony was a heartfelt exchange of vows, with Kirbey and Juan Felipe promising to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. It was hard not to tear up watching them make this promise, surrounded by their friends and family. The love they share is truly special, and it was clear that this was a union that was meant to be. But the ceremony was just the beginning!

The party that followed was an absolute blast! The music was on point, with a playlist that had everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. Kirbey and Juan Felipe even busted out some impressive moves on the dance floor, showing off their skills and having a great time.

One of the highlights of the evening was the way the couple integrated their cultures into the reception. Lion dancers wowed guests and a mariachi band played upon the grand exit; talk about a fun time! We love when couples find ways to add their own unique touches to their wedding day, and Kirbey and Juan did exactly that.

Of course, no discussion of this wedding would be complete without mentioning Kirbey’s stunning outfit changes. From wedding gown to blazer and Golden Gooses, she gave main character energy all night (mainly because she was, but I digress.) She looked absolutely breathtaking in each of her outfits, and we couldn’t get enough of her beauty. Whether she was walking down the aisle or dancing the night away, she was a vision to behold.

Oh! And did I mention their adorable pup was in attendance too? Dressed in her own precious dress, she stole the show and our hearts! It was clear that she was a beloved member of the family, and we were all thrilled to see her included in the celebration. We love when the couple’s dog makes an appearance in their wedding. Remember what we said earlier about adding their own unique touches?? Yeah. That.

All in all, Kirbey and Juan Felipe’s wedding was a true celebration of love, fun, and family. It was a joy to be a part of their special day, and we’re so grateful to have shared in their happiness! We wish them a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure together, and know that their bond will only grow stronger with each passing day. Congratulations to the happy couple! And happy almost First Anniversary!
